Default Cattleya gaskelliana var. caerulea

This is a firt time bloomer, a seedling I acquired two years ago from AWZ orchids in Espirito Santo State.

OMG, Mauro, it is so beautiful! Love it!
I just do not understand WHY I don’t have any gaskelliana at home yet???? It’s a scandal!
Thank you for info about AWZ – now I know where I’ll buy mine!

No gaskelliana in your collection, Gena? Oh !!! (kidding!!). Maybe you'd like to talk to Aleksandro (AWZ) and see what he can do to help you fix the situation! The flower in the photo is his cross C. gask. caerulea '12-1' x '11-1'. Good luck!!

Actually, Mauro, there is one company in Germany and the most of their assortment is from AWZ (for me it's much easier to get plant from Germany than from Brazil). I did check right now gaskelianas there and yes!!! they do have Cattleya gaskelliana coerulea x coerulea (import from Brazil)! I'm not certain that is the same cross, but we'll see!
