What does ‘Ipe’ mean in C. nobilior coerulea ipe?

I’m looking over the most recent Bela Vista import list and they have a species variety called Cattleya nobilior coerulea Ipe but I can’t find any information on what exactly that means. I’ve also seen ‘Ipe’ listed after an alba form, so I don’t think it’s coerulea specific. There are so many form names in South America and it’s tough to find information about them sometimes!

Also any experts in nobilior care? I’ve fallen in love with the species but don’t have a lot of experience with this one.
