Hi Junebug,
One thing you can do to expand your knowledge of botany is by joining your local botany society. I don't know what they have in Florida, but around here in NY they have Long Island Botanical Society and Torrey Botanical Society. These types of societies usually have lots of literature that they send you with membership. They may even recommend books and such. Maybe you can find a nice old botany biology text book on ebay??? You can skip the chem chapters if you don't like chem. You local botanical gardens may have some books and maybe even your local Orchid clubs.
In any case, if you find you don't like the way that Bulbo smells, you can always sell it to me, or I can trade you a botany book for it
