Default Bulbophyllum makoyanum confusion???

Apparently there are two plants sold as Bulbophyllum (Cirrhopetalum)
makoyanum.

One of them is the one that has rounded synsepals.

IOSPE PHOTOS

The other where the synsepals are pointed.

IOSPE PHOTOS

So asside from Jay's Internet Orchid Encyclopedia saying which one is which. Who else out there knows which is the real Bulbophyllum (Cirrhopetalum) makoyanum?

Have you been following the thread on "Cirrhopetalum makoyanum first flowering" and did you read my reply to M + F. I referred him/her to 2 books. M + F attaches 2 thumbnails and says one is makoyanum and one lepidum but to me both are lepidum and neither looks like the photos in the 2 books that I refer to.

Hi King-o-o-g
I was at an orchid society meeting last night and one of the members brought along his plant of Bulbophyllum makoyanum. I think that I persuaded him to subscribe to Orchid Board and to post his photo(s) of his plant so that you can see what Builbophyllum makoyanum looks like. If he does not I will ask if I can post his pictures so that you can see what the true Bulbophyllum makoyanum looks like.
Until then
Mike

Hennie, if you go to GALLERY you will find your 2 photos under recent photos. You should have gone and created an album and uploaded your pictures into your album. Anyway they are there and I hope that folk will enjoy seeing the real McCoy or should I say the real makoyanum!

Hi K-o-o-g. Hennie has posted his photos of Bulbophyllum makoyanum which you can view by going to GALLERY and they are under "RECENT PHOTOS". You will see that it is very different to the 2 thumbnails attached to M & F's post "Cirrhopetalum makoyanum - First flowering". Both of his thimbnails are in fact Bulbophyllum flsbelloveneris or what we new as Cirrhopetalum lepidum. I would be interested to hear what you think once you have seen Hennie's photos.
