Hi Yes, I do detect a slight fragrance. However, it's not a repellant odor like most bulbos have. To me it has an earthy smell like grass or salad greens.[/QUOTE]

I have never bulbos, as I have heard their fragrance is unpleasant. But I think I will go for this particular one, I saw this is available in the local nursery.

Not all Bulbos. are stinky but imo are worthy of owning. Don't forget...they attract pollinators that prefer the aroma of decay. The circle of life!

Yep, you seem to have hit on just the right potting media and growing conditions. That is a beautiful Bulbo indeed.

Thanks for taking a look, Cheri I think i have the confidence now to cultivate some even more fascinating bulbos. I just ordered Bulbo Macranthum from Hauserman. It's one of the rare bulbos that has a pleasant fragrance (fruity, spicy). Also, I'm on the hunt for Bulbo Manchind. It's stinky but oh, so worthy of adding to my growing collection
