I think I found a solution for the Cat. Potted inside while dormant, and I found a pretty hanging bamboo basket for outside during the growth season. I'll just have to remember to water it XD LOL.

I'll worry about that one later. It's mostly fine even after becoming a dog toy, no significant damage. I potted it temporarily in some dry bark and I have the poor Max to worry about right now LOL. It does look a bit perkier after it sat all day in the terrarium though. I'm gonna water it tonight and see how it does. Hopefully we're right and the roots are still in good shape.
