first time cork bark mount Chilochista
I am very excited and nervous to mount my Chilochista.
I bought my beautiful cork bark board at a local orchid shop and was going to use fishline to mount it. At the shop one of the workers recommended to glue it with crazy glue. Now I do like the idea of no obvious fishing lines, but will the glue dry white and be equally unattractive?
Also, when I mount the orchid that is quite long, perhaps 15" or so, do I have the main part of the orchid (where the roots and spikes grow from) at the bottom of the board ?
Also, I was told to soak the board first, now I use RO water I go and bottle myself to water my plants, but I don't have enough to soak the board. Is basic city water ok? I could add de-chlorinator to the water. How long do I soak it?
Am I over thinking this ?
