Orchids with a strong scent Male

The strongest I have which we call here are the hanging root-like Sanggumay (Dendrobium anosmum Lindl.) and it literally can enfold the entire space i have (garage) from evening till dawn... it loses its scent in the morning... really strong... like 15 feet away from the door and you can smell it... and that's only one strand of it flowering... i can just imagine if all the strands are in bloom...

Just picked this mini Clowesia Rebecca Northern 'grapefruit pink'. It has a super strong eucalyptis and herbal scent and it is so unique. I love the lips with the frills.

Orchids with a strong scent Male
Default The condensed version of this thread to date

It's become hard to read through this whole thread, so I performed a distillation.

I extracted each mention of each plant, so some plants will have multiple entries. This is probably useful, because the plants mentioned most often are considered some of the best fragrant plants.

I put the page after each entry so you can go find what the Orchid Board member wrote about it.

I fixed some spelling errors. Other spellings I'm not sure of.

Note to beginners: There are a lot of fragrant orchids that are not on this list.

Note to beginners: Some of these plants are very hard to grow! Others are quite easy. Before you get your heart set on something, learn what it needs, and find out whether you can grow it in your conditions.

Dendro. Crumenatum has a scent, though it doesn't smell that good to me.

Here are ones that I myself have not confirmed
Bulb. Ecornutum smells like grapes
Bulb. Biflorum smells fishy
Bulb. Echinolabium smells like shrimp paste

This baby got from Wegmans in bloomed. I can't take credit for the flowers. The fragrance is amazing 😉
Hope someone can ID it.
