Default Not Everything in the Garden is Rosy!

This Orchid has a damaged leaf. I have knocked it, it's split, has marks and scars on it and I think it looks healthy enough despite this, but where do you draw the line and amputate to avoid spreading something to adjacent plants?

How would I know if this could be dangerous? I suppose if it didn't look as healthy I should worry? Yes!

It has been this way unchanged for several months so I don't think there's anything sinister going on.? Am I right guys?
