Short and sweet now... I've grown in SH for years, all of mine now. I would also suggest Paphs, Phrags, and Oncidium. If you can raise chili peppers from seed to maturity, you're already doing something right.

Research the particular one(s) you want to raise, research, then chime in on the SH forum. Seedling mats are a good deal for the transition.

Thanks for the suggestions on the species. I feel ya on the power outage, nothing more frustrating than having a several minute reply simply vanish due to a surge or outage....it's happened to us all, unless you have a UPS. I now have one, they're cheap nowadays. It's not a huge one that will last for hours without power, but it does last long enough to save my work when the power goes out.
