Default Orchid name question

Does it matter which plant is named first in a hybrid? Would the offspring of Blc. Waikiki Gold x Lc. Jungle Elf be the same as Lc. Jungle Elf x Blc. Waikiki Gold?

I think the name of the mother comes first. I could be wrong. Which would mean that it is either the father that comes first or it doesn't matter.
That's as precise as I can be.

The pod parent comes first.
Anyways I believe the registered grex name remains the same.

Fren posted the correct answer: the mother is always the first, but when you are searching in RHS Orchid Hybrid Register (i.e., you don't know the 'grex' name, you know only the parents names) you must try both ways 'just in case' (the grex name ramains the same even you re-crossed the plants in the reverse order, and you aren't able to register)

I agree with Frederico, the pod parent is always first and the pollen parent is second. The grex name is the same if the parents are reversed.
Interesting, though is that often the cross will appear different when the parents are reversed due to the maternal influence in breeding.
