I am glad to hear you haven't gotten any positives on SVO orchids. Thanks for sharing that.

That is why you should always pay with a credit card, as it gives you an insurance policy for such events.

Well, it's been a week since I first contacted Jerry from Pelican Coast/Orchids Amore. There's a chance he's just ghosting me at this point. What are the risks to charging back on the credit card? Do banks tend to rule in our favor for something like virused plants? I feel like having almost an entire order virused 2 times is a bit much to not do anything about it.

3 weeks later, my Amazon Chase Visa declined the complaint because it wasn't "damaged during shipping", despite being virused. 3 emails later, Jerry Meola still hasn't gotten back to me. I sent an email to his personal address and work address, but nope. I've filed a complaint through BBB, and I'll see what else I could do, but I'll probably have to accept that I've lost over $100. This is perhaps the most unscrupulous, dishonest orchid vendor I've dealt with, out of the dozens of vendors I've bought from.

Well, huh. Another shining example of depends on who your CSR is when you finally reach a human being, right? (Talking credit cards, not Jerry who is unreachable).

Leave poor reviews on Pelican Farms website, Facebook page, etc.

It took him a week to email me back. At first I was actually sent the wrong person's order by mistake, so I sent an email about it, and a week later he said to print out the shipping label, reuse the box with agricultural inspection permits still attached, and just send it to the correct buyer in Florida. This just seems to be poor practice to me, since you don't know exactly what conditions, pests, or diseases the orchids were exposed to in another state, and it also seems potentially illegal to reuse those agricultural papers. I'll probably find more to rant about in a detailed review in a separate thread.
