Default Oncidium Intergeneric Plugs

Just wondering if anyone has purchased seedling plugs from Glen at The Orchid Works?

I've corresponded with him several times about growing oncidium intergens and I just got an e-mail announcing a huge sale of every Onc. intergen I want at $1.50/seedling.

Order Form

Only hitch-- and its a big one-- is you've got to buy 100 minimum with a minimum of 10/variety .

Anyone live near West Central Illinois want to split some Onc. intergen seedlings?

I could probably use about 10!

Hmm -- are you willing to order, receive and then redistribute to other buyers ??

If we had 5 'buyers', each buyer could pick 2 varieties, and get 20 plugs for about $30 + $10 shipping.

Hi there, new to this site...
I just read the orchid works site yesterday, and was looking to get together with 10 others and split an order. If you do it that way, each gets one of each of 10 varieties (or 11, since there is a special going on now). I live in De Leon Springs, just west of daytona beach, Fl., so would need to specify warm growers only. Any interest?

The plugs from OrchidWorks are very nice. I ordered a couple hundred last fall. The plugs were very impressive. Most went directly into 3-4" pots. A couple of crosses with a more petite habit went into 2". Some came in spike and I currently have about 20 in spike or bloom after 3 months in the pots. Most are growing very well, though I did loose a few new growths here and there. Recommended - if you have room for 100 plants.

If I could grow onc. decently I would do it. But I tend to kill them.

I, too bought some plugs from them. It's been a while; this was just before christmas. I got them in hopes that they would be blooming size by the time the society auction is held in July. But they said "in keeping with the christmas spirit..." and all they sent me was in spike at the time of delivery. I'm not saying they will do all that for everyone; I think I got lucky, but here it is near the end of february and some of the flowers are still going strong. I had to pot everything, of course, but most went into 4" pots and a good number of them went directly into 6" pots. Buy from them? I would definitely have to say Oh Hell Yeah!
