Thumbs up Patrick Polbos Orchids

My first order from Patrick Polbos Orchids, located in France, came in today and I'm impressed with both the plants and packaging job. I had heard that I should expect high quality plants, and that's what I got!

I got 2 plants that I've been looking for for a long time, as replacements for some that died years ago. They are Gastrochilus japonicus and Guarechea Black Comet (Prosthechea cochleata x Guarechea Miva Etoile). I was actually looking for the Guarechea parent, but settled for what I could find!

The Guarechea is a smaller plant, but has one nice large growth, and very healthy roots.

The Gastrochilus is really large (never gotten one this large!), with lots of happy roots, and as a bonus there's even a spike starting.

For members in Europe this is certainly a nice vendor to check out. He runs a small operation but there are still some nice things on his website. Also, if you are looking to do some flasking he sells everything you need (media, containers, tools...). He also has keiki paste, which I really struggled to find anywhere until I came across his website.
