Deamos, I start my lights at 8:am and they go off at 8m. At those times the lights don't bother my neighbors. No one has complained yet but I did notice one neighbor with binoculars watching my window. I'm fortunate, I have a state police investigator living next door. He can vouch for me and my orchids.

Good luck with your new lights.

Mine run from 7:30AM to 8PM during winter and longer during summer. The neighbors are only 18 meters away! The lights light up the side of their home like daylight I've been waiting for the law to come by but I guess I'm OK.

HAHAHAHA. I allready got the law watching me. Some guy walks across the back of my house every night at exactly the same time and then he starts watching with binoculars.
The day they come Ill invite them in and theyll see Im growing a harmless friendly vada

The light is extreme... yes it is starts from 9AM and goes off at 9PM. The whole garden looks like the moon is shining head on Neighbours aren't complaining.

In the summer nobody will notice. Our dailenghts go to the extreme in summer like suns up at 6AM down at 11PM. I have to watch out with the light not to upset my cacti. I shielded them off but I still have to be carefull. Guess Ill go to 14 hours of light when the days get really long.

One thing is for sure. A friend of mine came watching yesterday and he said. "Whohoo dude why has your vanda got the right color on its leaves!! and mine hasn't"
I told him I know some friendly people on the internet that told me very neat tricks about vanda's

black spots arent necessarilly harmful. I move my vandas to light that makes the leaves go a shade of purple on some areas. When the color turns I know they are in the max light they can take healthy and they get great new root growth. both my vandas are healthier now than when i bought them. Green may be ideal for growers who want them to appeal to buyers, but purple tells you your vanda is loving life!!!!
