Question Question regarding vase culture

I have a vanda that I'm growing in vase culture, however it's roots are outgrowing the vase (about 18" deep). I could probably find a longer vase but at some point it will become problematic to find one deep enough I'm guessing. My question is, what do I do once the roots become too long to keep it in a vase?

Vase culture should be only temporary until your plant have grown accustomed to your environment. I do vase culture for some of my Vandacious plants that arrived to me bare root or needs ICU caring. I usually repot them after a year in a wooden basket lined with coconut fibers and arrange the roots inside the basket and fill them in with my Vanda mix (Medium sized Lava Rock, charcoal, clay shards, Medium Orchiata Monterey Pine Bark, Medium sized Sponge Rock and Rice Hulls....
The longest vase culture I got was a couple of years but I repot them in S/H or in a hanging basket with my own concoction of Vanda media mix that I order from repotme.com

I mount my vandas on cedar plaques (think the bottom of a cedar basket) one of them has roots about 3 feet long. Then I hang them in front of the window and I dunk the roots 1-2 times a day. I leave the bucket under them (humidity and convenience)
