I grow it inside on a west window and give it cattleya light. The room has greenhouse-like conditions like high humidity (65%) and intermediate to warm temperatures. Even though the darwinara is a complex hybrid, one of its parents is Neofinetia Falcata and this parent breeds cold tolerance and shade tolerance (N. Falcata tolerates medium light) into the vanda tribe. But I think cattleya light should be sufficient.
