Perreiraara Bangkok Sunset
just opening up, we have 8 flowers n getting smaller. there are 36 buds. we see how many we can get here for flowers.
its a 3 year old+ plant from Motes. Its been grown hot and under 50% shade. Watered daily with a good hose down in the heat. You can back off the water when its cooler. Not in the heat. Comes in for the winter and lives in the shower

I've always love the color on this cross. This was the first orchid I bought with my own budget, but I mistreated it badly. It is on its way to good health now, but it wont forgive me and give flowers again any time soon.

Very nice.
And my weather is about the same as yours. As I live down by Bay City.

yes it has a scent. To me it smells like juicy fruit gum very pleasant and not overwhelming.

Fantastic plant. I agree with you about the heat situation. All my orchids (all types) get watered daily (sometimes multiple times) by mother nature (Thailand monsoon rains I think). And it seems all my orchids love it as they are looking very healthy.
