Vanda Boonyarit growing conditions and time till blooming size? Male

It's not my information; it comes from Motes Orchids. They grow in Homestead, Florida, almost tropical. They water every morning, and during hot dry spells in the evening, too. Motes writes "every 5th watering."

With your growing temperatures I would follow that advice. People growing in cooler homes with less light in winter don't need to fertilize as much.

Motes writes a properly-fertilized Vanda should have a paler green zone at the base of the emerging leaf of 1cm long. If it's less than 1cm, fertilize more. If more than 1cm, fertilize less.
