Tough question here. If you could only have 5 Neos what would they be? (pictures welcome) Thanks for your time :-)

My top five:

1. Higashidemiyako: Beautiful stripes, very easy to grow, produces beautiful blooms

2. Hisui: Deep green leaves, grows larger, easy to grow, and produces green flowers

3. Tamakongou: Bean leaf grows larger than other bean leaf Neofinetia, dark green leaves, heaven facing flowers

4. Kibana-Fukiran: easy to grow, produces long lasting yellow flowers, fragrant too.

5. Manjushage

I'll post pictures of the first four, but I do not have a Manjushage--it is the one Neofinetia that I have not yet acquired.

- Hokage: for its lovely display of yellow and white tora fu with red blushes combined with ruby red roots
- Nishidemiyako: (this is me cheating) for it's nice striping and ability to easily morph into different varieties
- shutennou: since this was the first neo I ever wanted to buy because of its nice colored flowers.
- shunkyuuden: for its amazing flowers
- kinkujaku or tamakongou: for the sake of having a bean leaf, but I'm not sure weather I would go for the tora fu or the special upwards facing flowers.
-and actually... many more... I really can't choose between any of the neo's I own, I enjoy each and every one of them for their very own reasons.

greetz,
Dries

Uhm... Tricky one.

1 - Shiraitonishiki; because of it's beautifull tricolored marginal variegation.
2 - Kutsuwamushi; for it's compact gowth and beautifull, special flowers.
3 - Zuiun; nice leaf color and yellowish-tipped white flowers.
4 - Tamakongou; compact growth, easy to care for and lovely flower sprays.
5 - Manjushage; because of it's special flower form, hopefuly arriving in August.

These are only five, but love all my Neo's

Hi all... This is a very good inquiry. I looked over my neos and thought which ones are my favorites and it was tough. How I got around it was to think which 5 of my two hundred neos would I save in case of emergency??? The answer was clearer then:

1. Otakamaru-no-shima
- a striped version of the swollen bean type

2. Reiho
- the ruby roots on this one is stunning! More glowing than the Homeiden or Kinbotan

3. Ryokuho-no-shima (aka Ryokusaiho)
- a variegated bean (aka Mr. Bean in my FB)

4. Magatama
- a bean with ruby roots!!

5. Hanagoromo
- the best yellow tiger with ruby roots! And it has a higher end mutation called Hanamizuki with marginal variegation and ruby roots! That's a dream plant for me!!! But the Hanamizuki is rare and expensive! Almost $10,000 per growth!

There u go! My choices!
