I know that people who collect Neo.s love the ruby tipped roots. But what why do you love them?? Is it cuz they r rarer or is it just for the look??

Thank you.

Thank you.

Ruby tipped roots are the most prized and rare. There are also green, muddy, and white tipped roots. I think if you saw a plant with red tipped roots, you'll understand their appeal. If you are inclined to think in a (ahem) (cough)... ribald way, some people find them erotic.

Thank you. I'm very new to Neo.s. and was just wondering. My first Neo has ruby roots. I think it look awesome sigh them but to me I don't care right now about the color of the tips. I love my little neo none the less. .

The more time you spend with your Neofinetia, you'll realize it needs another companion. You can get a bean leaf variety, or a screw leaf, or a plant with different colored leaves. If you ever get a chance to see them in person at a Neofinetia vendor's nursery, like New World Orchids, you will be amazed at the diversity of form.

If you attend the SEPOS in Philadelphia next weekend, you will have an opportunity to meet Satomi at Seed Engei--they will have a booth at the show. She will have a large selection of plants that you can peruse.

Right now I'm bidding on two Neo.s I feel that mine is a little lonly at the moment. I'm bidding on a spiking Neofinetia falcata ('Shutenno' x 'Koto')
And a Neofinetia falcata "White" Both from the same seller.
AND on top of that I am going to the SEPOS orchid show next week. can't wait!!!!

For those of you who are going to SEPOS, what day will you be there? I'll be there Sunday.
