Default eBay is such a tease

eBay is such a tease and I hate, hate, hate them for it! As I was browsing a thread in this forum I noticed a contextual ebay banner ad with photo for: Neofinetia Falcata Oonamiseikai Onami Seikai "Big Wave Blue Ocean" 1 Growth

Cool, since I missed bidding on one of those earlier this week and this one looks just as nice.

HA!!!

The original item has sold for US $17.95. We have selected another similar item below.

And what plant might they have selected as a substitute you ask?

This:

That's right, a yard of satin fabric.

Anyone else besides me, get the March list from Seed Engei? I'm hoping New World Orchid comes out with their newly imported lists from Japan.

Jayfar, are you looking for an Oonamisekai? I thought you would have one already! LOL

Not urgently, but a seller had a nice one up for bid earlier this week and I missed the late afternoon auction for it.

And yep, got the SE March list; some items link to photos on the SE facebook page. I see they also have 15 on ebay for Monday.

Got the March list from Seed-Engei. Given that I have a preorder with several Neo hybrids from Peter T. Lin of Diamond Orchids who will speaking at our April meeting, I had to restrain myself...

LOL s.kallima! As you know, these are such small plants, you can fit so many Neofinetia on just one single shelf. When I find the time and the right lighting conditions, I will take an "aerial". When friends come over, they say a cursory, "how are you?" And immediately demand to see my latest acquisition(s).

While I aspire to be like Mrs. George B. Wilson of Philadelphia and amass a huge collection of unique orchids, I have neither the fortune or space to house my plants in a greenhouse. I am fortunate that the plants I have acquired are healthy and seemingly hardy plants--they have to be to survive my care.

Good score Matt. I had both of those on my watch list but I let them slide on by. I had already placed an order with SE earlier in the week and didn't want to blow my budget completely! They should come today and I'll try to post some pics.
