I'm not saying its a bug at all...but I'm not terribly gifted in the dark art of patience. Thankfully for me, I tend to focus on a few varieties I like and gather up fans of those varieties whenever I feel I can..

As I posted earlier, calling someone a defalcator, especially in this instance, was too harsh. I should have described that behavior as someone who was doing a pre-emptive bid, an action that bridge players use when they have a low hand value and they want to prevent their opponents from winning their rubber. If you took offense, that was not intended.

All of the plants listed have very different features. I'm interested in this plant: Seionishiki. In another thread, on wintering Neos, the discussion was on ghost leaves and its survivability for winter. This Seionishiki, if I'm understanding correctly, has an entire ghost fan!

Just do a google search on an item # (as the only search term) that the masked user bought some time in the past. If they received feedback from the seller for the item, their ebay "my world" page will come up prominently in the search results.

Edited to add that this doesn't work consistently, but frequently does.

And well under budget, or at least well under my max bid. Placed bid only at 10 seconds before end.

Now I've a traveling companion for my Hime-Kaioumaru.

Further review tells me that one of the two other bidders for the Kara Nishiki, c***0 (whose real ebay and facebook IDs I now know but won't reveal here) is also the one who won a Fuukiden from NWO in early January for $815, but of course that plant had started at near 800.

Kouen!!!! Want!!!!! At least as a placeholder until a better specimen comes along. This one isn't too shabby in itself though.

Also note disclaimer in SE's description: "Please do not confuse with another KOUEN 紅艶 (glossy folieage one). These are totally different plant."
