Default Jewel Orchid & Begonia Glass Bubble

My latest project: an 8 gallon glass bubble bowl for jewels and begonias. Really low tech, I used black lava rock for drainage (it wicks a little, which means I should be able to fill the reservoir and leave for a vacation), fiberglass window screen, and then ABG mix (the gold standard for terrestrial vivariums, nice and airy and holds up well in wet conditions). I will be covering it at night to raise humidity until there is thicker plant growth, then misting it in the morning as necessary and leaving it open for the day. It looks like humidity right at the ABG level is about 60%, which is pretty good given the usual 20-30% ambient humidity in my house.

Here's my intended plant list. Some of these need to grow out more in my paludarium before I can take cuttings, so I will be planting it slowly:
Anoectochilus roxburghii (dark leaves with copper veins)
Anoectochilus roxburghii (emerald green leaves with single silvery midrib)
Begonia baik
Begonia metachroa
Dossinia marmorata
var. Dayii
Macodes petola
Marcgravia
sp. Azreal - maybe
Selaginella picta

Hoping to get a Malaxis metallica and Begonia sp. Julau in future, I'll see how well this set fills it in.

Currently it's just Begonia metachroa, Begonia baik and the emerald variation of Anoectochilus roxburghii.

Iíve put a few more things into it, but everything is tiny. Iíll take more pics when it starts to fill out. In the meanwhile, hereís my planting plan (with estimated heights, hard to tell when Iíve only seen mature versions of some in pictures):

Iím considering moving the Macodes back and having a cork round in the center, that I can drop a small pot into and display whatever mini is currently blooming.

The bowl is really glowing with some new tropical moss:

Iíll have to pull the Masdie out pretty soon, when the bud gets too tall for the bowl. Iím going to put it in a display cloche while itís blooming and then put it back in - it gets leaf spots and drops leaves one by one any time I try to grow it somewhere else, so I guess it grows in here for now.

And one of my new favorite orchids, Aspidogyne argentea

Happy masdie

Usually I wouldnít recommend this setup for a Masdevallia (not enough air flow), but this one's only happy in here.
