I know them from Venezuela. When they manage to become a large mass of plants, and bloom they are just amazing I think there are still some from my old collection growing in the garden of my mother

Question

Ross your orchidarium looks great. I see that on that top shelf you have some mini's in small plastic pots with slits on the sides but I also see S/H medium in the pots. Does it work without a reseviour (sorry for the spelling) ??

No. Actually, that's small bark. I do this because the environment is sooo humid. It's 90%+ in there with misting every 4-5 hours. Needs a way for air to get to roots.

Holy COW. I looked at your orchid list. I was going to suggest a brassia. SILLY ME. I see you even have a DRACULA. WOWOWOWOWOW. That's crazy. Do you have a good picture of that sucker? I'm obsessed with those.

Pretties...all so pretty...

Oh, by the way, I had the onc. pus and it was so cute. Want to hear what happened to it? I was moving and my mother, bless her heart, somehow didn't realize there was a LIVE ORCHID on the piece of wood. She decided to help me pack up my Chicago apartment while I was at work. That night, at about 10pm, I suddenly noticed all my minis were missing. I asked her and she suddenly realized that she had wrapped them in newspaper and PACKED them with the terrariums in the moving van in CHICAGO in NOVEMBER when it was below FREEZING outside. So that's what happened to that. I got mine from Oak Hill. It was really cute. Here's a pic:

Yep

Has been blooming off-and-on all winter. Now that it's getting warmer, I suspect it will stop for a while. I may add another dracula of some sort.

Dyakia hendersonianum

Nothodoritis zhejiangensis. I don't even know if that one is in cultivation.
