The leaves of my violaceas will vary from 6-10 inches on different plants. Depends on the variety and strength. I would say, the more leaves the better rather than the size ...

Thanks, I hope mine is one of the smaller varieties, 6 inches would be just perfect!

Since pollination, the flower has turn greyish purple and the ovary tube is growing. I hope it's successful!

Anyone have any ideas or experience as to when the pod matures or if possible to sow green? I hear a range of 6-12 months! Is that true?

Here is the flower today (with the new bud that opened):




Be cool to see the pollinated flower turn green like a Martian!

Today the pollinated flower looks very green. The pod seems to be developing well. Another 3-4 years to see the results. Fingers crossed!
