Good morning! :

J, I noticed the same thing when I first got the plant. The first blooms were lighter and as it's gotten older, the color has become a bit deeper...and they're definitely "pendulous"

Wow!!!

Those are stunning. Great job growing this one- it's so beautiful. Does the phal "live" upside-down like that? Do you grow it hanging like one of those upside-down tomato plants? Or is this just for the photo? It would make perfect sense as they hang on the side of trees in nature. It would also protect the crown from lingering moisture. Cool idea.

Sue, quit threatening your Phal by hanging it over the pool!

Seriously though, I love the 2nd bloom jrod! If it were mine, I would be wishing for that color over the 1st.

The peachy color is really attractive.

Thanks everybody

J, I experimented and had good results...now most of my Phal species are wrapped and grown this way...they seem to love it.

Sue,

If you ever feel like giving a class on how to wrap and hang a phal, I will be your first student. It's such a great idea.

Love it.

J
