Default Leave damage...wrong repot? Lecca? 🥺

I have converted these Phals to Semi Hydro last week, and now I see that some leaves are spoiled, a couple of leaves were touching the lecca and when I removed that part was rot, but same rotten has happen in upper level.

Maybe I have left the plants very buried.

Also, in a week I have found an exaggerated accumulation of salt, thart has not happened in in the other plants I have converted. What should I do?

These Phals are in a terrarium, the temperature is stable between 18-20 ° and the humidity is high 65-70% but there is a fan 24/7 so air movement is available.

Thanks!

I wouldn't move that kind of Phal to S/H with such low temperatures.

Thanks, ES. My mistake then... I can elevate the temperature, that is not a problem.

The vendors and tag recommend 18-21° temp. Before me, they have been growing in Germany within that temperature even in summer.

However, I think that could also be that some little assistant I have has been spraying water inside the box and that I left them too buried ..too deep down..in the Lecca. I have take some out as well.

What I could see looks like it has sustained bruising and in some cases, a subsequent infection. The third photo looks like it just scarred over.

Good Morning!!

Guys, never mind, I've done some CSI and I am removing the alarm, specially with the black spots. My daughter just conferences that she has irrageted water on the leaves during the week 🤯😖. The last pic, is the result of a wet leaf seating on a hydroton and the abrasion created that bruce, I treat that to avoid further infection.

The other scarfs .. I've noticed are similar in non-SH Phals as wells, so they may be old and I panic.

Sade I would have said so too.
The last black spot is the only "rot" you have but even that like you say is just from sitting on a wet lecca ball and should not spread but of course let it dry and watch it.

Your cross should not go under 18 degrees but I try to keep mine 24 during the day down to 20 at night (mainly because I keep bellina's with my violacea's). a violacea will benefit from warmer temps in winter, it will do fine with lower but it will grow faster if kept a bit warmer than the tag says.

Ps: I have a tetraspis growing a long side them and even though I wasn't sure if it would like it that does fine in the same conditions too!
