I've never seen spider mite damage on Phal. stems, but it looks like that on other plants' stems. I would spray with 70% alcohol or insecticidal soap.

I don't have this. The people I know who grow it water almost every day and maintain high humidity. It's considered a deep shade plant.

14 hours of daylight is unneccessary and probably too much....
