I don't think there's anything you ca do to change that. It sounds wonderful. How do you grow that? IOSPE lists it as a cold-growing plant (under the name O. lehmannii.)

Put a sturdy wire hanger on the pot and hang it under a tree casting dappled shade. Don't repot; let it grow out of the pot and wrap around it.
