Here's a Cattleya lueddemanniana coerulea. The veining came after 10 days or so and continues to darken. A lovely sweet fragrance.

It definitely was funky looking. The blooms were about 7 in wide. I have two growths with a sheath and a third one still in the middle of growing. Maybe it will bloom in June!

Cattleya trianaei concolor - growing outdoors, a bit damaged from the cold rains. I really like the paler concolors.

Thanks! I live in dry San Diego, and it seems to do just fine mounted. Im not near the coast so I dont have the moist temperate climate like Andys orchids… I would say that it did pout for a year...

Ahh... I couldnt resist too. I wanted to try the violaceas so got the semi-alba and coerulea!

I believe SVO is also preparing to release a bunch of new paphs soon as it gets a little warmer...

Here is one step from rosea towards Rebecca Northen... Clowesia Grace Dunn. The bulbs on these are very compact, maybe a tad larger than rosea. The fragrance is phenomenal! Citrus and gingery.

This is the second year my Angraecum bosseri has spiked and yellowed prematurely. Last year I had it outside in 50-70oF with rain, this year I had it indoors 65-70 oF and 60% humidity.
