I think that's the orchid's last attempt to live. It appears to be growing leaves/basal keiki to survive. Pot it up, wait and see what happens. If you're lucky, it will start to grow a root....

It says I'm a phal. I find them to be somewhat fussy, and I don't think I am like that at all. But as someone said, ice cream and chocolate were not choices, and therefore the test is flawed ;-)

Might it be a Miltonia? The green and purple on the sepals reminds me of a Zygopetalum, but the flowers aren't that large and there isn't any fragrance.
