hey all
my name is Alex and I am currently a student at URI
I'm originally from CT but I basically live in RI now
my orchids all live with me
late last year I began rescuing phals from stop and shop that had finished blooming and were neglected and being sold for less than a dollar
3 have rebloomed since and i have been pollinating them and getting seed pods!!
a few of my phals are growing odd roots that stick straight up into the air but that's another matter
i also have a paph, a den, a few maxillaria and epis, a cymb, an oncidium, and some Ludisia
I love plants and am studying biology at school
I'm hoping to grow native orchids too (without removing ones from the outdoors) and just expand my collection in general
I'm hoping to buy a blooming mottle-leaf paph tomorrow when i get paid!!

I just love growing in greenhouses...right now I just have a small one...I am so itching for a big one!
