Dendrobium keiki potting.

HI. Im not sure if this is the correct board or if i should go to the dendrobium alliance. I received a dendrobium kingianium keiki, and I was wondering if I can pot (hydro-ton since its a lithophyte) it right away or if I need to let it rest.

Thanks,
Gwen

It's also an epiphyte... grows nicely in well-drained bark mix. I see no reason not to pot it up now. Keep watering on the moderate side for a couple of months... it likes a little less in winter, but not bone dry, though it will survive without water it would be happier with some, especially since it is small.
