Phals not thirsty... much
 

My plants are now going on 11-12 days without seeming to need a weak-weekly fert. watering?

The leaves are also turning a lovely darker green color but maybe this is not good also?

Blooms have remained sturdy.

They are in the corner of room with 7 windows but days are getting shorter here.

They are all basically new and all are potted in bark, they are not wet but I just am going by what I learned here and looking at them "like they do not need water they need drying"
They are all in clear pots and I was waiting for the bottom roots to lose all that green color and my ka-bob stick to pull up dry.

Keep doing what you are doing. It is a reflection of ambient temperatures. When it's cooler they don't use as much water. As for the light... you are finding out why so many people use artificial lighting in the winter. And it hasn't even started yet.

same with my orchinds...

Mine are getting less, - I don't use a bamboo skewer on bark, because the bark doesn't make good contact. If it does, I would worry that the medium was breaking down.
