Glucke's Orchid Hospital
 

We are Küken (13y) and Glucke (48y) and live in Germany's most beautiful town: Dresden. We are still beginners but interested in biology of orchids.
We collect critically ill orchids from our neighbors and relatives and take care of them. We are interested in the scientific background to find optimal growing conditions for each plant. Orchids can be companions for many years and we think that each plant has its own character.

Our dream: To rent an old garden in the south of GB...

That is a very nice thing that you do and keep marching on towards that dream.

Well done if you can get a copy of Orchid Wiz it has cultural notes associated with nearly every type of orchid registered to date. This program also shows for the plants contained in its data base a family tree structure.

Hello! I am from Vancouver, Canada, and I am new to this forum too and also a beginner. I think dream and hobby is fantastic!

I currently bought a sick little orchid suffering from severe root rot for very cheap. I bought him to try to learn how to combat this illness. It's been about 10days and I believe he is now improving.
I would love it if you could share your experience with these cases?

Really nice initiative, i hope you succeed. I would like to do that some time in the future :)
