Brachys

I just realized that the last three paphs I bought were brachys (two niveum and one bellatulum) but I don't know how to care for them (I've been treating them like my other Paphs). One has since started a new growth so I'm happy with that but I wanted to know if anyone had additional information they could share that is specific to brachys. I just heard that they prefer distilled water to tap so I've started watering them with that, anything else?
Thanks in advance for the help!

One thing that sticks in my mine is some not all like more calcium in there mix. Delnatii (sp) is one that does NOT. But I add oyster shells to the mix or because I forget most of the time put it on top like my catt's. You might do a search on here or I also found it on Pipping Racks sight in an article where he tells his mix in potting Phrag's I think.

I can't remember but some one here first put it into my head. It could be this sight that DeaC put up that tells you which ones. I do have it somewhere.

Do you grow other paphs?
Brachys are not much different.
With niveum, they do well with year around warm temperature and bellatulum benefit from some cool down during the winter.

Other than that, just grow them like other paphs or phals and you will be fine.

Unless your tap water has very hard, distilled water is not needed. It is pure water and you might want to add some fertilizers to it every now and then.

I grow two other Paphs.
Thank you for the info about cooling for bellatulum
The tap water here is at 400/450 depending on the time of year so I'm mixing my tap and distilled water 50/50 to bring it down a bit
I already need distilled water for some of my other plants so it's not a big deal for me to get some for these as well
