As a biginner, I attend my first Orchid show.

Seeing Phrag. Kovachi in person the first time, even thou the bloom isn't in the best shape, it still won a a bunch ribbons.

This Phrag hybrid, name on the tag, looks, better to me than the Jason Fischer left, or bessee, top.

Shorter spike with a bigger bloom & True red.

Seeing Blue Vanda in bloom in CT is encouraging, I have one but I didn't have confidence it'll re bloom.

There are too many Catts a the show, I am not into Catts at all, but this is the most stunning to me. Unusual waxy flower with strong strong fragrance only seen from jumbo Catts

I think that the reason you saw so many Cattleyas as this is one of the big Cattleya seasons. Poor you. :|
For a long time, I was into the large, fragrant Cattleya hybrids and species but now I just have some small, fragrant ones.

The lady from orchidphille brought in lots of Phal

Several nice red Phal on display but nothing is true red

This one is rather strange Phal, kind of bellina looking but smells like arm pit, no kidding.

I picked up a few miniatures in seeding size. one is Mini Phrag from A&P orchid. It's my first Phrag. Being one of the first to arrive at opening, I was able to loot the only true red one out of the bunch, not great form but the form can get better, color won't.

It is a nice color. Too bad about the unpleasant odor of the Phal. Usually bellina has a very nice one.
