First time blooming and first time I've posted in this forum. I was surprised when I saw this blooming this morning. I thought it would bloom in the Winter. I believe it's a seedling and not a hybrid. I'm please at the blue color which is darker than in the picture.
How do most grow this grex during the Winter? Cool and dry or warm with water? |
I grow mine like my other vanda-types. Empty net pot hung, or really large charcoal chunks in a airy pot. They get lots of heat and sun and water almost every day depending if they're dry or not; fertilizer every time except once a week to flush. My neofinetias get the same treatment, except they're on the cooler part of my setup!

Very nice, I love this hybrid. The flowers are beautiful and the fragrance is just amazing. The plant itself also has such a lovely form, one of my favorite orchids. I do not change the way I grow this throughout the year, it is always hot and regularly watered with a low fert regimen.
