possible keiki
 

noticed something new on my phals i'm hoping its a keiki.

Seeing how elongated it is, it looks more like a side-spike to me!

Yep I think it's another spike on the side.

Add a third vote for it being a new spike branch. :) Still cool.

ah well if it wants to flower so be it lol.phals seem to be the only orchids i do well

I also agree with the others that it looks like a spike that has formed.

it just finished flowering in december can it really flower again so soon?or will it be a failed display?

If the plant is otherwise healthy there's nothing to worry about. The plant has the energy to send out a side spike. However side spikes generally have a much lower flower count than a main spike, so don't expect to have as many flowers as it had in the main blooming!
