Aloe dyeri
Hi all,
Another from the New York Botanical Gardens (NYBG). I hope you all enjoy it. Second photo shows the plant tag and the foliage. About the plant tags. NYBG seems to not want to update their tags. For Aloes and related species they have three families that they belong to. Aloeaceae Asphodeleacea Xanthorrhoeaceae So they have three species of Aloe's in three different families which can lead to confusion. I believe the current taxonomy accepts Asphodeleaceae as the family for all Aloe's and related genera. https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8611/...e5e0bcc7_b.jpgAloe dyeri-foliage by tindomul1of9, on Flickr https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8561/...b90666be_b.jpgAloe dyeri by tindomul1of9, on Flickr |
This is another South African species, also found in parts of Zimbabwe and Mozambique.

Thanks for the info. I really don't know the geographical ranges of all of these.
