I'm watering my phals in the compot tonight after work and noticed a mitten looking growth. I'm sure its a spike. And my first produced spike. Yay!! :D

Congratulations!! I remember my first spike from last October. I was squealing like a little schoolgirl when I found it and it was really so exciting! :) It took about 3 months to fully grow and bloom, but it was on an oncidium, not a phal like yours! <3
