Paph. Prime Child (primulinum x rothschildianum)
Paphiopedilum Prime Child (primulinum x rothschildianum)
Purchased in bud on eBay from seller pupsi_dog. Arrived in great condition; bud continued to grow and develop on arrival with no problem. Second bud is also growing right along. I've been lusting after a Paph. rothschildianum for awhile, so I figured I'd start with a primary hybrid and go from there. I haven't been disappointed. This is a massive, spectacular Paph, with a 6in/15cm span of hairy, speckled, twisted petals, striped sepals, and a huge, streaky, pink pouch. Hope you enjoy! https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5558/...919a161e_z.jpg https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5585/...1cbc5baa_z.jpg https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5572/...9775256a_z.jpg https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3858/...8bc0e2e8_z.jpg https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5562/...0fb277ac_z.jpg https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3837/...082ea2a5_z.jpg |

Awesome ... thank you for sharing.
In fact I am interested in your pic's, some years ago I bought a paph and name was lost in transit. The flower is very similar to yours and wondering if mine is same cross. |
Many roth cross with sequential paph will look very much alike. You cannot properly ID yours.
Nice purchase by the way! :) |
Excellent start! Love it!

Took my Prime Child out into the woods for some 'in situ' shots :)

That is a lovely orchid you have there. Now you just made it want to run into the forest ;)
