Question for Fukiran Growers about Anthocyanin Production
A couple of months ago I received a plant as an unconfirmed Manjushage seedling. I've been growing it in high light and am noticing purple anthocyanin production much like on my Shutennou. Is it normal for this to occur on a white flowered Fukiran? Or would it more likely to be a pink to red flowered plant?

I don't have a Manjushage but I have a couple of variable red foliage Neos. I don't remember how red the leaves were when they flowered but the blooms were white.

I know every plant has some slightly different trait. But what I find interesting interesting is that my confirmed Manjushage that is getting slightly stronger light than the Shuttenou and the other unconfirmed manjushage seedling are not showing the blackish purple pigment. The two seedlings are sitting right by each other. While the confirmed Manjushage sits right by my Shutennou. |
