New Paph
I should really stay away from this store now.
I went back "just to see" what came in from Hawaii this weekend, and oh, my, it was paphio party there! Such interesting mix of hybrids and species. There were three pots of beautiful specimen sized gratrixianum with many blooms, but not my kind. All the flowers were short and buried under the leaves. This little charmer (Luna Moth 'Hairy Lemon' and Henryanum 'Tall Stem') caught my eye and came home with me, though! The plant is quite small (barely 8in tall from the base to the top of flowers) and looks just like straight Henryanum. It has total of five fans, two of them have flower and the other three are baby fans. So, it looks like it will behave just like henry forming clump quickly. yay! The flowers are also small, and one of the two is even smaller than the other, but I find the shape really good, and I like the overall cute presentation of the plant. I even like the back of the flowers so I am including that picture also. |
Very cute and very pretty. I, too, am fond of henryanum and its hybrids. Small plants and colorful blooms, you can't go wrong there.

It's lovely.

Thank you, all!

I'm jealous of you... We don't have any stores here in Sweden that have Paphs as part of their normal stock. They usually only have NoID Phal hybrids... On the other hand, it's probably a good thing that I have to work more for my Paphs, otherwise I would get so poor, so quickly.

Very beautiful, both front and back. Must be quite showy when all the new fans bloom.

Very nice. I love the blooms.
