This species is native of Bahia State, Brazil, and to me one of the most beautiful Encyclias. The plant gives large number of ocher flowers entirely purple veined. It also is perfumed during the day. I grow it hanging, mounted on a tree fern slab (it is in a pot just for transportation!).
