Clowesia thylaciochila
My first try at the Catasetinae family...
Bought as a Cl. thylaciochila, but the shape of the flowers look more like Cl. russelliana to me (from pictures on the web). Anyone knows how to differentiate them? (sorry, bad pictures, didn't have time to take better ones, all the flowers were done after a few days only) http://www.orchidboard.com/community...SP-D8_2389.jpg http://www.orchidboard.com/community.../IMG_44160.jpg |
That is awesome. Love that second photo. Very well done!

Thank you Ron!
It is post-processing, not straight out of the camera... I rarely do that but I really disliked the original picture taken in a rush ... |
Ooo! Beautiful!

Very nice! Does this one always bloom this time of year for you? Also, how is the smell??

I agree with Clowesia russelliana. The lip is not open, it is closed like a ladyslipper.
