So the orchid Addiction begins

I figured I'd post up an introduction. I'm Jillian I currently live in Philadelphia Pa. I'm now addicted to orchids. It only took one to cause this and now I'm up to have 5 chids.

I currently have 2 LC Melody Fair 'Carol" 2 BLC Crispin Rosales "Volcano Queen' Purple. My 5th wlll be here tomorrow I ordered from kawamoto orchids and it's a Blc. Tsutung Beauty. The bad thing about this addiction is that you always want to buy more even though you just bought some. :rofl:

I'm currently thinking about setting up an orchidarium out of my old 29 g aquarium that I have sitting here collecting dust I have t5 HO lighting they are from my old reef tank the brand I have is current USA they are 460nm 1 x 24W T5HO 10000K 1 x 24W totaling 48 watts . I have dozens of comp fans sitting around here somewhere(computer geek) I was wondering if an Orchidarium would be suitable for LC's and BLC's?

It only took one for me too, and now I'm at 30 and counting! I literally have no more room in my sun room, where I grow all my orchids. I keep telling my husband that we need an extension to the sun room! It's a hard hobby to slow down with or stop for that matter.
Do you belong to an orchid society yet? If not, check online and see if you have one that meets nearby...you'll love it. You'll get all kinds of info., see all different kinds of orchids, and probably be tempted into buying more at about every meeting...lol.
