Paphiopedilum delenatii
These pics were taken in April but I'm soooo behind in sorting through and posting my pics :coverlaugh:
I bought this in flower in March and there is a little damage on the flower, probably from when the sweedish grower brought it over to the UK for the show I bought it from. It's just started a new fan in the last few weeks. It's going to be a while before it flowers again but I can't wait  http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6068/...ba98b5d7_m.jpg http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6084/...dc74a471_m.jpg http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6080/...b9901c72_m.jpg |
OMG! Rosie ! I love it ! I love it ! I want that !
|
Oh FYI: its Paphiopedilum delenatii
|
Thanks Bud, yeah Camille's just said the same thing to me. The grower had it labelled delmatii but I had been already wondering when I saw pictures of delenatii if it was either a mistake or a synonym. I've decided to change my label and change this post :)

So lovely

If I see an orchid that catches my attention, I immediately look for it online for its culture and to inform me of its country of origin and its parents...thats why I was surprised theres no results on "delmatii" but a similar picture came up on "delenatii" when I clicked on it as an alternate suggestion for the genus and species

Very nice Rosie!
This is one of the first 'chids I had on my wish list when I started growing. But I never bought one ..seems other species took over in my collection. You've just made me think I really do need to get this one! |
