World Orchid Conference coming to Miami in 2008!
 

I just wanted to post to see if there are any OrchidBord.com members planning on attending the 19th World Orchid Conference in 2008? The show is taking place in Miami, Fla.

Hello and welcome to our little bit of paradise :D

A number of our members are planning on attending...I've already set up my stay down there and hopefully, a bunch of us will be able to meet up along the way :cheer:

The W.O.C. has been the source of much conversation here at OB, there are quite a few threads about it.

It's SO exciting to be having it here in the U.S for the first time in over two decades...I wouldn't miss it for the world...especially since I live in Florida ;)

Try to make a trip to Homestead, there are many growers in that area. If you do get the chance to go...DO NOT MISS R.F. Orchids. Try to find out when their daily tours will be...you'll never forget the experience.

Hi all, :biggrin: I plan on going 1 maybe 2 days to check out the orchids for sale, If I can only make 1 day should I go the first day or wait till the end for better bargains if any?:cool: Will they still have the Miami international orchid show in (March-April) 2008, I was only able to find out about passed shows? Thanks

I'll be there for all of opening day. Some other folks I know are going for the closing weekend days. Either way...it's going to be an experience to remember!

As far as I know, the usual Miami Show will not go on for 2008.

Maybe we'll get to meet! Cheryl (justatypn) and I will be hanging out together :banana:

:welcome: to the OB. We are so excited that you have taken time from your busy schedule to post on the OB. I am so excited about the WOC being here in Florida. The reservations are in, dinner plans (finalizing later) with other OB members, and anxiously awaiting for the doors to open to the “Orchids–Nature’s Masterpiece." :cheer:
